The brand name "CA4LA" (pronounced as Ka-shi-la in Japanese) means the head and also the top.

 

Opening their first store in Tokyo in 1989 they started a movement, now with 23 stores across Japan and one in London they have a cult following. All of the products are designed and made in Japan with a high attention to detail.
